Anas ibn Maalik (moge Allah tevreden met hem zijn) zei:
“Wanneer de profeet صلى الله عليه وسلم het toilet wilde betreden, zei hij:
اللَُّهَّم إِنِي أَُعو ذُ بَِكِ مَن اْلُخبُِثَ و اْلَخبَائِِث
O Allah voorwaar, ik zoek mijn toevlucht bij U tegen de mannelijke en de vrouwelijke duivels.”
